Cape Rio Swim started with a simple idea.

We wanted to create bikinis that felt different from what we kept seeing. Not mass-produced pieces you'll only wear for one summer, but not luxury-priced designer swimwear either.

We wanted something in between.

Simple, colourful bikinis with timeless styles that you'll still want to wear years from now.

Our inspiration comes from two places we love: Cape Town and Rio de Janeiro. Both cities have a relaxed approach to summer, where swimwear is something you live in - not just something you pack for a holiday. Bright colours, effortless style and days spent by the ocean inspired the feeling behind every Cape Rio collection.

Every bikini is designed to be easy to wear, easy to mix and match, and versatile enough to take you from the beach to lunch with nothing more than a pair of shorts or a linen shirt.

We also believe quality shouldn't come with a luxury price tag.

That's why we produce our collections in small batches in Cape Town. Working closely with local manufacturers allows us to focus on craftsmanship, keep production intentional, and create swimwear that's made to last.

Cape Rio isn't about chasing trends or releasing endless collections.

It's about creating colourful, timeless swimwear you'll keep reaching for, summer after summer.

Our name reflects the places that inspired us.

Cape Town and Rio de Janeiro may be on opposite sides of the Atlantic, but they share the same easy-going beach culture, colourful energy and love for life outdoors.
